The Bachelor of Occupational Education (BOE) degree is designed for people who have earned or meet requirements for an associate’s degree from an institution with accreditation recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
If you have significant credit hours in a technical discipline from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education you may also qualify for the program.
People completing a BOE are prepared
Use your BOE to apply for secondary licensure in vocational technical education (career and technical education) or teach in a community or technical college, trade or technical institutes, and business and industry settings.
Apply your technical course credits
In addition to the Bachelor Degree and General Education Requirements, students apply their technical course credits to the Major—Vocational-Technical Area of the Degree Plan and then complete 30 credit hours in Professional Technical Education.
