Biography
Coach Boll started his career as a student coach at Westmar College, in Iowa, where he was the junior varsity defensive coordinator and coached linebackers and the offensive line from 1981–85. He received a bachelor's degree in Secondary Education from Westmar in 1985. He was an assistant coach and the head freshman coach at Maur Hill Prep in Kansas from 1985–88. He earned a master's degree in Health, Physical Education and Recreation from the University of South Dakota (USD) in 1990. At USD, he coached defensive backs and linebackers from 1988–90. He was defensive coordinator and head wrestling coach at North Dakota State College of Science for four seasons from 1990–93. He then became defensive coordinator, special teams coach and head track coach at Sul Ross State in Texas from 1994–97. He was defensive secondary coach and assistant track coach at Wayne State from 1997–99.
